staying at kula maya boutique hotel and spa was a dream! the king room with lake view had breathtaking sights. the spa massages were incredible! the staff were so friendly, creating a lovely atmosphere that made our two-night stay feel cozy and relaxed.

I faced issues with the billing, as I was charged more than what I had reserved. The customer service was lacking, with one staff member being particularly rude and unhelpful. Additionally, the pool was too cold to enjoy, and the Jacuzzi had limited availability, which detracted from the overall experience.

Why it’s almost great (but not quite)

The unique iglu-style rooms were splendidly located by the lake, close to the dock and delightful cafes on the ‘hippy highway’.

Frequent power outages made rooms unbearable, with non-functioning fans and showers turning them into saunas—definitely not the relaxing stay envisioned!

i almost thought this place would be decent, until the power outages turned my room into a sauna, and the rudely inattentive staff couldn't even provide working wi-fi. i also expected a complimentary gesture for my troubles, but that was too much to ask for. save yourself the torture and choose somewhere else.

The staff was super accommodating! They even served us early breakfast. The cocktails at the bar were excellent, and the bed was comfortable. I felt right at home during my stay.

Waking up every morning to the breathtaking lake views made each moment special. The unique iglu-style room was so fun to enjoy while soaking in the atmosphere of the area.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was quite basic—only a croissant and fruit. Plus, noise from the bar next door made the evenings less peaceful than I'd hoped.
